Business Problems
Repeated sales orders from its dedicated vendor were involving customer’s SAP end user to daily create sales order in SAP system. It was a repetitive job of creating sales orders for a customer in SAP system.
Project Plan
- We implemented this solution using Ad-hoc functionality.
- SAP SD has EDI component using which sales order creation process is automated using SAP ABAP technology.
- Order confirmation (Outbound IDoc processing) was sent to customer after successful order creation.
- We did rigorous testing to make sure that the sales order is getting created properly in every iteration.
Benefits
- Automation was done for sales order creation and a dedicated SAP end user is now free to do another activity thus increasing productivity.
- Errors due to manual sales order creation was reduced to minimal as now system is creating sales order and no human intervention is needed.
- Any SAP IDoc if fails to create sales order then we have system generated log which will gives us reason of error like some wrong data in excel etc.
